Worth the Wait

Bree had this boy on her mind from time to time over the years. She'd see him here and there rather infrequently, and always felt a surge of excitement when she did. She found herself smiling quite a lot during the random times that they were in the same company. But she never thought much of it, as she doubted it had any future. Then one evening, they found themselves in a group of fun friends and got more of a chance to talk and realized quickly that there was indeed a mutual and exciting chemistry between them. She could not help but think of him after that night. She kept dismissing it. Later that year, he appeared once again and this time it was much harder to hold back her feelings. It was friendship for now and even a friendship was a beautiful and natural thing. Each of them went about their lives, and time passed. One day, the stars had aligned and the timing was finally on their side. They reunited at just the right time, and the magic was undeniable. Many of us have been jaded by inconsiderate partners, bad dating stories and failed relationships, so its difficult to imagine a pure and sweet love story anymore. Bree let down her guard, shelved her worries and decided to enjoy this blissful ride. As much as we see a whole lot of negative things in our world, there are just enough wonderful ones that exist, we just have to find them.
